The fireweed is a symbol of resilience, cheer, and abundance. The bountiful seeds of the fireweed grow in spaces where little to no vegetation is growing. One of the first flowers to bloom and bring back colour to an area blackened by wildfires. As quickly as fireweed is abundant in a traumatized area, it also changes being replaced by succession species, pines, and firs returning to the landscape. This herbal plant is medicinal to the body as well as the landscape. "Rise of the Fireweed" positively communicates healing and is an expression of hope for the future.
